Tom and I spent a few days hiking in Red Rock Canyon just outside of Las Vegas. On one particular trail, I managed to walk right into a cactus and get a cactus needle lodged in my shin bone - ouch! That little misstep caused a few days of pain on the trail.

There are some great trails in Red Rock Canyon and a neat scenic drive around the park.
