Peru - Day 3, Huacachina

Wednesday started bright and early with a (too long) bus ride from Lima to Ica. I really should have invested in some nausea medication. Although I did read today that coca tea is supposed to help - worry not, it's perfectly legal.

Ica and Huacachina are surrounded by huge sand dunes. We made the trek to the top of one and caught a beautiful sunset over the desert.

We also ran across a turtle in the courtyard of our hotel :-)


At dinner, we finally tried Pisco - the national drink of Peru. It tasted an awful lot like a margarita.
